FAQ

Before you book.

Is endoscopy painful?

It is performed under sedation; most patients do not remember the procedure or feel pain. Mild bloating afterwards usually settles within hours.

Do I need a companion?

Yes. Because of sedation, a companion is recommended and you should not drive for the rest of the day.

When will I get results?

Initial findings are explained right after the procedure; biopsy results usually take a few days and are discussed at follow-up.

When can I eat afterwards?

Usually once the sedation wears off, starting with a light meal, unless told otherwise.

Is endoscopy covered by insurance?

The clinic works with many insurers; please confirm your policy coverage when booking.

The need for endoscopy and the preparation are decided after medical assessment. Durations are approximate and vary by case.
